Kate is one of the founders of Kapeta Stud. She began rioding at the age of 9 on a pony called Bambi, after wishing for a horse for many years. After Bambi, she had various other mounts that she either showed, Jumped, Evented or Pony clubbed every where she could go. Kate later on in her youth, rode a Chestnut, thoroughbred gelding by the name of Court Jester, that took her to Level 1 and 2 and the 1978 State Eventing Championships. Today, Kate rides a purebred New Forest gelding, Kapeta Honesty, at many dressage competitions, often taking out a championship and many 1st's. She is also riding Kapeta Wilverly, who she hopes will be her next good jumper. Aswell as all of this, Kate breeds purebred and thoroughbred cross New Forest Ponies, and takes her daughter Ellen to Eventing competition every other weekend.

Ellen started riding at the age of 2 1/2 on a Shetland by the name of "Little Miss Mickey" and then on another called Marzy. A few years later, she started riding on a pony called Jimba, had about 3 or 4 various other mounts along the way including Pahake Monaco, and then progressed to Cheryl Mcmurray's Kapeta Prediction, which she rode until too big for her. She was then given Foxcote Honeymoon to ride for Fiona Fowler, and after a couple of years began to ride Kapeta Prelude, or Wally as he is fondly known. She still has Wally, and has taken over the ride on Kapeta Kip from Kate nearly 2 years ago. Since then Interschool Competitions and Dressage Event's have been the forte, but mainly Eventing, as that is where the passion lies. Ellen hope's to take Kippy to Pre Novice Level, ride at Melbourne 3DE later on, as well as Adelaide 3DE, and one day make it to 4****.
